If I had to describe this book in a few words, I would say Greece, romance, and a touching father-daughter reunion. That should be enough to convince anyone to read this book, but add in an intriguing hunt for Atlantis and you have an irresistible story. Olive Varanakis, who now goes by Liv, has the perfect life. Popularity and a seemingly great boyfriend are almost enough to make her forget about her absent father, but when she receives a mysterious postcard inviting her to stay with him in Santorini, everything changes. This book most definitely exceeded my expectations, and will make you want to travel to Greece immediately!

In a world ravaged by sickness, an incredibly rare elixir, and political tension, Tessa Cade has become just desperate enough to try to fix it. As an apothecary apprentice, she is fed up with watching those around her die, so she attempts the impossible...sneaking into the palace of the merciless King Harristan and his Justice, Prince Corrick. However, when she gets there she begins to wonder if Kandala is even fixable. As Brigid Kemmerer is one of my favorite authors, I was expecting to enjoy this book and it definitely lived up to my expectations. With a riveting plot and complex characters, this book will undoubtedly keep you on the edge of your seat!

This is probably the best retelling of the tale of the Beauty and the Beast that I have ever read! Harper has never had an easy life. She suffers from cerebral palsy, an absent father, a terminally ill mother, and a brother involved in illegal activity. While helping her brother with a job, she gets pulled into a world of princes, beasts, and dangerous magic. Prince Rhen has just about given up on breaking the curse, until he meets Harper. The combination of character development, twists, and toe-curling romance will definitely have you on the edge of your seat!

This gender-bent retelling of The Count of Monte Cristo is an action packed adventure filled with deception, incredible riches, revenge, and romance. Theoretically, Amaya's and Cayo's paths should never have crossed. Amaya is serving time on a debtors' ship, and Cayo is the son of a wealthy merchant. But, a series of unimaginable circumstances force their lives to intertwine in a way that neither expects. This book will have you intrigued right from the first page, and is perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo and Sabaa Tahir!

Circe has always been the strangest child of the Titan of the Sun, Helios. She is without breathtaking beauty, strong powers, or seemingly any of the traits his other children seem to have. However, she soon discovers that she does possess a special gift, one she can use to protect herself and the mortals she spends most of her time with. This story of empowerment is probably one of my favorite novels, and I can guarantee that even those who aren’t a huge fan of mythology will absolutely adore this book!

In one word, excellent. A raw, brutal, and realistic interpretation of the Iliad that truly showcases the lives of the women. Medieval France and the daughters of Death. Interesting by themselves, but when you add in a battle for the throne of France, things get a little more interesting. Sybella was trained at the convent of Saint Mortain to become his justice of death. Genevieve has been undercover for so long sometimes she can’t even remember what she was sent to do. Two sisters, and yet so different. If you love a mix of mystique, drama, and love in unexpected places, this is the perfect book for you.
